TWO DIRECTIONS

The outcomes of ‘global crisis’ or ‘global wellbeing’ depend on two different worldviews. The vision that sees individuals, humanity and nature as separate results in problems, and the vision that sees individuals, humanity and nature as inseparable and interdependent nurtures and preserves the wellbeing of all.

Hard Work and Service

As a child, he had a deep appreciation and respect for his family's hard work and service they dedicated to the society.

A Search for Answers

The Propounder

His family members were renowned Vedic Scholars. Yet, A. Nagraj had many unanswered questions about his family's belief system and saw many logical inconsistencies in it. He had an intense desire to find answers.

Sadhana Period:

A Family’s Effort

In 1950, at the age of 30 he and his family went to Amarkantak (in Madhya Pradesh, India) to pursue this. After twenty years of dedication, In 1970, he attained the state of Samadhi. There were still no answers to his questions.

A Decision

He asked his teachers, elders and well known scholars many questions.  Yet, he didn’t receive any satisfying answers. Instead, they suggested that he would find answers in the state of Samadhi (a meditative state that culminates in the practice of absolute concentration). He decided to pursue this.

A Deep Study

In another attempt to persevere and find answers, he began a deep long-term study and research of nature. It was here that he discovered answers to his questions.

Realizing Harmonious

Coexistence

He realized that everything in existence co-exists together in a harmonious system and nothing exists in isolation. There is an inherent harmony and balance from the atomic to cosmic level. Human beings have the potential to understand this Coexistence through education and become complementary to each other and the environment.

This education enables an ability to live with human conduct which results in a healthy state of mind (humane mentality), healthy relationships (undivided society) and a system of global cooperation (universal orderliness).

The Worldview

From this, Madhyasth Darshan - Sah-astitvavaad (the Worldview of Harmonious Coexistence) emerged. This worldview addresses all aspects related to human wellbeing and the wellbeing of everything on the planet. He wrote thirteen books that document the entire worldview and devoted his life to sharing and living it.

Evidence with Family

He continued to live with his wife, children and grandchildren in Amarkantak, India from 1950-2016. He and his family were a great inspiration to many. Their home was always open to those who sought to understand.
